Dear Roma

You were somewhere that I never thought I would find myself falling in love so fast. I never thought I would be able to call anywhere else home so quickly. I felt so connected with myself and the world within the two months I was able to call you home. With all of the opportunity to travel, I was beyond grateful, but we always looked forward to coming back to you.

When the news was received that we had to leave, I broke down. I felt that I did not have enough time with you. I just felt myself blooming and becoming the best version of myself that I have ever had. Despite being home sick a few times, I just never wanted to leave. So many experiences and memories that I had with you would be ones that I would never want to trade with anything in the world.

Each and everyday, I learned so much more about history and art that I had never experienced in my entire life. Living out across the pond “alone” led me to the most amazing people I could have surrounded myself with; I never felt alone. I had the opportunity to live my dream life with a group of ninety students from all over the United States that I now feel beyond blessed to have.

Big point I wanted to make writing to you is I wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for the knowledge. Thank you for the opportunities. Thank you for bringing beautiful souls into my life who showed me new outlooks on life. Thank you for the lessons. Thank you for letting me learn to not be scared of life. Allowing the unknown into my life has broaden my horizons into a million different directions.

Oh my Roma, I will be back one day. Piacere and Ciao for now x
