Being weekend two of traveling, we were really trying to decide on what we should do and where we should go. Little did we know that getting in an overnight trip to Interlaken, Switzerland would be the most beautiful trip of our lifetimes. This was somewhere that I never did too much research on, but I did have a Pinterest board created. Arriving at 6 AM and sleeping for hours once we arrived was how we approached the beginning of the trip. Once day one got started, we made the decision to go kayaking with such an amazing company called Outdoor Activities Interlaken. A little shoutout to Peter, our kayaking guide, for being such an amazing person!!

When I tell you that no matter where you turn, it was a dreamy site. The highlight was the kayaking and getting the opportunity to spend hours on Lake Brienz seeing so many different villages that surround it. Being in the middle of the Swiss Alps made you feel so small and as the world is such a huge aspect surrounding you. I felt so connected with nature and the amazing girls (and Peter, of course) who I got to experience this all with. With not having my exact place at university, these girls made me feel more welcomed than I could have ever imagined.

Thank you for traveling the world with me, beauty babes xx

Anyway, back to Interlaken, we ended up becoming regulars at a little cafe called Baracudas. Let me tell you, they have the best mix of sandwiches, salads, and alcohol you could find! We met some really amazing people here as well that opened our eyes to new parts of the world.

My heart had not felt that content in oh so long. Being able to feel at peace and feel at ease in a place that was so new to me was such a different thought to me. I have been someone who has struggled with anxiety and my thoughts my whole life, but for some reason, I feel that I truly found myself. With the small things in life and the little values that were brought upon this weekend, I realized how much I love learning about other people and other cultures that hug this planet. It is a beautiful sight, let me tell you.
